Teaching Approach
At NMLL we focus on developing language skills in ways that complement and lead to the achievement accredited certificates at a range of levels. Courses are designed and delivered in accordance with the 'A-frame: a Framework for Quality Pre-accredited Teaching and Learning' , Victorian ESL Framework Certificates and Certificates in Spoken and Written English (CSWE)
Providing a flexible learning environment is at the heart of our teaching approach. Students are encouraged to work individually as well as to participate in group activities. We achieve this by:
- providing students with opportunities to organise and participate in community events
- arranging regular excursions and visiting speakers
- using computers as a key teaching tool to encourage independent learning
- supporting and providing access to on-line courses.
Courses Offered
NMLL offers a range of accredited and pre-accredited courses.
These include English as a Second Language (ESL), Information Technology and vocational courses.
