Volunteering

Volunteering can be an intensely rewarding experience, for both the beneficiaries and the volunteers.

NMLL volunteers often tell us they want to help refugees to make a new life here, or assist people with limited English to connect with their community.  Our volunteers do all of that, their contribution is enormous, but it is not all one way. We constantly hear about how much the volunteer has gained from the experience.  How much they have learnt about different cultures, about  the challenges others have faced, and about themselves.

We could not acheive what we do without the invaluable contribution our volunteers make. Tasks and projects include running the Baby Book Borrow program, assisting in the classroom and helping with craft and recreational sessions.

If you have the time and would like to offer your skills and experience, we would love to hear from you.

For more information please contact our Community Development Worker on 93267447 or by email. Alternatively, our Volunteer Handbook may be downloaded here.
