Weaving Workshop

$25 – $35Learn the traditional basket weaving techniques of Burundi, Africa, and make a simple pair of earrings or a coaster to take home. Participants will learn the skills to continue on weaving projects at home. The instructors are Colodetha and Victoria from Sisterworks, a non-profit social enterprise which supports women who are migrants, asylum seekers or refugees to become financially independent and happily settled in Australia.
The evening will include a delicious meal of Injera bread and traditional curries. Come and share a rich cultural experience and learn some traditional weaving skills!

Cost: $35 waged, $25 concession/ children aged 12 and over (must be accompanied by an adult)
